After my adventures exploring North Carolina, I continued down the East Coast into South Carolina. I drove past dozens of college parties celebrating graduation slash spring break – it’s tough to tell nowadays.

The adventure continued in Myrtle Beach, where I met up with an advisor friend named Brian. Then, I rolled on down the coast to Charleston where I crashed a Chamber of Commerce Networking Event and linked up with a local realtor, named Annabell Tichy.

Finishing out this week, my lovely mom flew down from Boston to Charleston to spend Mother’s Day Weekend together and fly out of Atlanta Georgia the following week.

Linking Up With Brian Falconer, LUTCF on Vacation in Myrtle Beach

Myrtle Beach is a well-known vacation destination right on the Atlantic Coast over the North Carolina Border into South Carolina. Homes are almost all elevated and built up on tall stilts because of the threat of severe storms and flooding.

The weather was perfect so @TheFinanceFrenchie and I hit up the beach where we linked up with Brian Falconer LUTCF.

Brian and I both take great pride in helping families NO MATTER WHAT their income or net worth may be. There are far too many advisors in the industry who say “No, Sorry” to helping clients who don’t have large amounts of assets to manage.

When experts don’t help, the problem persists.

That’s why Brian and I are so passionate about helping folks from all backgrounds and occupations. Brian shared a great story with me about helping a married couple, husband working in Construction and wife working in Nonprofit. Helping them organize their cash flow, save better, tackle toxic debt, and protect themselves with proper insurance and legal documents – all while still being able to enjoy their life and have fun!

That’s the motto that Brian and I both share in helping folks with their finances. Showing them that there is a way to have your cake and eat it too!

Free Activity: Walking the Beach and the Boardwalk on the South Carolina Coast

On the Money Pro Tour, it’s EASY to spend money. Isn’t that the truth all the time in life? How many of you can relate? It requires FOCUS to control spending and keeping it within certain parameters.

I find that a GREAT way to keep spending under control is to INCREASE the number of free activities that you do. By enjoying yourself without spending money, you’ll find that you may spend significantly less per week or per month!

One of my favorite free activities to do is bringing @TheFinanceFrenchie to the beach. In South Carolina, take a look at how much fun we had exploring and checking out the sites!

We popped into the local arcade on the pier. Does it look like we had fun?

Money Convo with Charleston SC Realtor Annabell Tichy

As I continued on my journey into Charleston, I found a networking event coordinated by the Chamber of Commerce in Charleston.

At the event, dozens of local business owners and professionals came together over drinks to get to know one another, make new connections, and vibe on a deeper level.

I’ve always felt comfortable at these kind of events.

I LOVE MEETING NEW PEOPLE.

At the event, I chatted with local real estate expert Annabell Tichy, and we met up the following day at one of her property listings.

The video below is of our interview together – two immigrants chatting on the couch about money, real estate, and life!! Check it out below.

As a Realtor, you have both great opportunities available to you AND huge responsibilities to be aware of.

Yes – it is awesome to make your own hours. When you have a passion for helping folks buy or sell homes, you play a valuable role in their life! You’re also compensated handsomely for your success.

At the same time – there are many challenges to be aware of. If you’re a realtor, it means that you don’t have Employer Sponsored Benefits, such as health, disability, or life insurance. Realtors earn 1099 Income meaning they have to set aside income taxes on their own. Otherwise they get stuck with a HUGE bill come tax time. Plus, the fact of no “guaranteed” income every month, means that cash flow management is THAT MUCH MORE important.

Family Time with My Mom on Mother’s Day Weekend 2019

Do you remember what you did for Mother’s Day 2019? I won’t forget. My mom flew down from Boston to join me in Charleston, and we spent a lovely evening walking with my dog, Brady @TheFinanceFrenchie, all over town!

We explored a local Greek Festival that was happening at one of the Churches in Charleston, and then walked for dozens of blocks in the mild spring evening.

We hopped into a few places for cocktails and small bites, and really got a taste of what Charleston had to offer. The Charleston Historic District is beautiful and very pedestrian-friendly.

#MoneyProHabit – Managing Cash Flow Properly is a KEY to Financial Success

Brian and I both help clients manage their cash flow better. Rather than just advisors who sell insurance, or others who just manage investments, being an expert in helping clients MANAGE the income that they earn is super important.

I’ve had hundred of clients over the years remark to me that the Bank Account System I teach is EXACTLY the guidance they wanted.

With Annabell, the topic of cash flow came up as well. It’s critical as a Realtor to manage your earnings and separate money for Taxes, Saving, Bills, Spending, and Re-investing into the Business! Your bank account system plays a HUGE role in helping make this easy.

Of course, we all want to travel. We all want to take great vacations. Do YOU have a separate savings account called “Travel” ?? This is a great way to set aside income regularly and make sure that you plan ahead for trips. That way, you can enjoy the priceless time together in great places, just like I did with my mom in Charleston.
